Spooky season is well under way and many Londoners are looking to secure a fright-filled celebration for the coming weekend. Read further for our top recommendations for a Halloween night you won’t forget.

 

The Maine, Mayfair - Following the success of their New England-themed transformation of their Hanover Square townhouse last year, The Maine will be holding a ‘Death Becomes Her’ party on the 28th of October from 8pm where guests are invited to dress as their favourite dead celebrity.

 

La Bodega Negra, Soho - Starting from the 27th of October, La Bodega Negra will be hosting a Day of the Dead week, concluding with the Dia de los Muertos party on the 1st of November, with a mariachi band, DJs, and dancing.

 

The Little Door - Hosted at each of their London venues, The Little Door & Co will be hosting themed house parties from Wednesday 28th to Saturday 29th of October. The Little Blue Door Fulham promises glamour with their Haunted Hollywood theme, while Soho’s The Little Scarlet Door will be hosting a Murder on the Dancefloor party including live performances and a light-up dance floor. Notting Hill’s Little Yellow Door is hosting a Stranger Things special, or you could head to the Little Orange Door in Clapham for a night of nostalgia with their Ghosts of the 90s spectacular. 

 

The Box, Soho - Living up to its reputation as a venue that never shies away from squeamishness, The Box Soho will be hosting special cabaret performances as ‘The Blood Box’ from the 26th to the 29th of October- head to the Walker Street nightclub for a night so deliciously gruesome you can’t look away.

 

Sexy Fish, Mayfair - If you desire a night of pageantry that leans more into the fantastical than the grotesque, head to Berkeley Square on the 29th of October for Sexy Fish’s Sunken Circus Halloween party. Complete with DJs, live acts, immersive sets, circus performers, and themed cocktails, this party boasts all of the spectacle that will leave your inner trick-or-treater utterly captivated.

 

Coya, Mayfair - Adrenaline chasers all over London are encouraged to brave Coya’s week-long event, where they will transform their restaurant and pisco bar into a mysterious forest. If you’re feeling brave, head to COYA on Saturday 29th October for a fright-filled night complete with live DJs from 6pm-3am, and you might uncover what thrilling secrets the forest holds…

 

MNKY HSE, Mayfair - For the ‘Semana de los Muertos’, MNKY HSE will be transforming into a flower-filled paradise to illustrate the transience of life in a tribute to the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday. The week-long festivities begin on Tuesday 25th October and end on Sunday the 30th, with a Halloween brunch taking place on Saturday the 29th. 

 

Sky Garden, City - For one night only, the Sky Garden are pulling out all of the stops for their Halloween party. Join them on Friday 28th of October for live music, stunning sky-high views of London, cocktails, and dancing. Tickets start from £55 per person (including a welcome cocktail) or £65 (including a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut). Alternatively, you can reserve a table for up to six friends where you can indulge in two bottles of Moët & Chandon Brut with two cheese and charcuterie boards. 

 

Decimo, Soho - World-renowned makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench is collaborating with the Standard to bring The Night Riders From Hell to the tenth floor. With tickets priced at £30 (including entry and a welcome cocktail from CIROC), guests are encouraged to come in costumes that echo the Western Horror theme for a truly spectacular celebration.

 

100 Wardour Street, Soho - 100 Wardour Street is teaming up with legendary tequila brand Casamigos to host a Halloween party on Saturday 29th October followed by a Sunday Brunch on Sunday 30th, complete with Mexican food, cocktails and music from the resident DJs, all in a space decorated with jack-o-lanterns, hanging skulls, purple and black florals and incandescent neon lighting. If you like to get spooked in style, this is the party for you.

 

Mama Shelter, Shoreditch - Head to Mama’s for the Dia De Los Muertos from 6pm on Saturday 29th of October, for a fright-filled night complete with DJs, tarot readings in the crypt, canapes, cocktails, face painting, and costumes. Bring your best face and costume, tickets are priced at either £15 per person for entry to the VIP party area and a complimentary Mama Cocktail (cannot be exchanged for another drink), or £50 per person for the same with a 3 course menu included.

El Pastor, Soho - El Pastor’s basement bar Mezcaleria Colmillo is joining forces with tequila brand Herradura to host a Dia De Muertos Fiesta on Friday 28th October from 9pm til late, promising free tequila shots on the dancefloor, a fancy dress competition (the winner of which will receive a free meal for two matched with Herradura on the date of their choosing) and special guest DJ Lou Hayter, whose previous appearances include playing for the V&A, the Cannes Film Festival and Chanel.
