Best Sunday Roasts in London

While the cold weather lingers, Londoners are craving warm, comforting meals- and what's more comforting than a Sunday roast? Read on for Innerplace's top recommendations for Sunday Roast dinners in London.

Best Sunday Roasts in London

Bébé Bob, Soho

Bebe Bob was born out of love for rotisserie chicken, caviar, fine wine and champagne; which is not your traditional Sunday roast combination. The undisputed king of the menu is the rotisserie chicken. Forget endless menus and decision fatigue. This restaurant offers a single, shared main course: your choice of either Vendee or Landes chicken, both sourced from the finest regions of France. Accompanied with a selection of delicious sides ranging from decadent truffled cauliflower cheese to the humble roasted potatoes. This venue is certainly a fantastic roast location.

Ganymede, Belgravia

Named after Jupiter’s largest moon, the Ganymede in Belgravia offers sumptuous seasonal dining in an informal atmosphere. Their Sunday menu currently includes four roast options all served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, greens and gravy. From confit pork belly with caramelised apple sauce to roasted Cauliflower with port and mushroom jus for any vegetarians, they have beautiful options for everyone. Ramp up your roast with some of their mouthwatering Sunday sides, including pork, onion and sage stuffing or three-cheese baked cauliflower with truffle.

Hawksmoor, Seven Dials
What Hawksmoor’s Sunday Roast lacks in variety it more than makes up for in decadence. Their slow-roast rump is started on real charcoal before being finished in the oven, and is served with beef dripping roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots & garlic and lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy. Hawksmoor’s roast dinner is so well loved that they cannot guarantee its availability past 5 pm every Sunday, so head down to Covent Garden to try it yourself.

The Audley, Mayfair

Tuck into your comfort dishes under a site-specific ceiling of pinks, oranges, blues and greens created by Phyllida Barlow at the Audley Public House in Mayfair. Located in an elegant Victorian building, The Audley offers a plethora of British pub favourites on a Sunday, including the classic roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables & gravy. If you or your fellow diners aren’t in the mood for a Sunday Roast, choose from any of the other traditional comfort dishes such as Cornish haddock & Chips, mushy peas & tartare sauce or shepherd’s pie.

The Hunter’s Moon, Fulham
A sister pub to the Ganymede, The Hunter’s Moon is known for holding the same standard of sublime food in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Though their menu changes seasonally, their current Sunday roast menu does not cater to vegetarians or vegans. However, carnivores can choose from three indulgent options, all paired with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, greens and gravy. If butter roast chicken with bread sauce and smoked bacon or treacle cured sirloin of Stokes Marsh Farm beef aren’t enough to entice you, they also offer some luxurious non roast-based options such as truffled gnocchi with celeriac purée, radicchio, shallot ring and parmesan.

Cut at 45 Park Lane, Mayfair

The Dorchester Hotel in Mayfair exemplifies opulence, and the Sunday roast at their restaurant is no different. Alongside an array of mouthwatering starters ranging from oysters to steak tartare with Wagyu beef dripping, they offer a traditional English beef sirloin roast as well as a vegetarian nut roast. Both roasts are served with truffle-roasted potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings, as well as a glass of Rathfinny Classic Cuvée sparkling wine from Sussex. For a truly spectacular Sunday roast, head to CUT at 45 Park Lane.

Kerridge's Bar and Grill, Embankment
Kerridge’s Bar and Grill is pulling out all of the stops for their Sunday menu. Located inside the Corinthia Hotel, Kerridge’s offers seven delectable mains with two roast options: Rotisserie Cotswolds white chicken with apricot stuffing, or Himalayan salt-aged ribeye with stuffed Yorkshire pudding, horseradish cream - both served with roast potatoes and gravy. As well as these, they offer six delicious desserts such as tonka bean panna cotta with ginger meringues and mango sorbet. For a veritable feast of a Sunday roast, head to Kerridge’s Bar and Grill.
