2022 may be coming to a close, but 2023 promises a packed year of cultural, musical and sports events all across the globe. Read on for some of our top picks for 2023’s global events.

Grammy Awards- 5th February

2022 has been an incredible year for new music, and what better way to celebrate than at the music industry’s biggest night of the year? Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah for the third year in a row, the Grammy Awards have announced a truly star-studded cast of nominees including Beyonce, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo and Harry Styles, with further details of musical performances to be announced. 

Brit Awards - 11th February

Just two months into the year awards season will be underway, with the iconic Brit awards returning to the O2 arena for a packed night of performances. Although we only know the winner of the Rising Star award so far- British R&B girl group FLO, we are sure this will be a night to remember.

Rugby Six Nations- 14th February-18th March

If you’re already noticing a World Cup-shaped hole in your life since Sunday’s final, there are plenty of epic sports events to look forward to in the New Year. Come February, the world’s oldest rugby tournament will be returning, much to the thrill of sports fans everywhere. 

BAFTA Awards- 19th February

BAFTA has unveiled a beautiful new venue for their annual awards this February, and although nominations are yet to be announced, the theatre will be packed with the crème de la crème of British film and television. After a year of fantastic cinema, this evening is sure to be a marvellous celebration of filmmaking.

Paris Fashion Weeks - 27th February-7th March; 25th September-3rd October

Paris evokes a sense of elegance and style, and its semi-annual fashion weeks proudly live up to that reputation. Hailed as one of the ‘Big 4’ fashion weeks alongside London, Milan, and New York, you are invited to watch the newest creations from iconic brands such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy as well as up-and-coming fashion houses, often staged in historical spaces such as the Grand Palais or at Carrousel du Louvre.

Academy Awards- 12th March

Whether it’s the extravagant outfits, the cornucopia of famous guests, the celebration of cinema or even the onstage feuds, one thing is certain: the Oscars remain the topic on everyone’s lips for weeks after its broadcast. If you are one of the many who devoured this year’s cinematic offerings, mark your calendar for the 12th of March.

Coachella - 14th-16th April; 21st-23rd April

This music festival’s reputation is nothing short of iconic, and it isn’t hard to see why. Past festivals boasted lineups including Childish Gambino, Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, Radiohead and Lady Gaga, to mention a few. Although the 2023 lineup is still to be announced, you can rest assured that Coachella will be a veritable feast for the senses.

Roland-Garros - 22nd May-11th June

Otherwise referred to as the French Open, the Roland-Garros tennis tournament is widely regarded as one of the most physically challenging tournaments of its kind, between the seven rounds needed for the championship as well as the clay court’s characteristics. 2023’s competitors are yet to be confirmed, but a nail-biting performance from the globe’s best players is not to be missed.

Monaco Grand Prix- 25th-28th May

The Monaco Grand Prix is recognised by many as one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world, and will be returning in late May. Held on a narrow course going through the streets of the city, the event is also regarded as one of the most demanding tracks of the Formula One races. Royal Ascot remains one of the highlights of the British social calendar. Although it is widely known as a competition between the world’s finest racing horses, Royal Ascot is equally a fashion and culinary event, practically synonymous with impeccable elegance.
