French chef Claude Bosi caused a tremendous stir when he transplanted his double Michelin Star rated restaurant into the fertile foodie soils of the capital in 2007. Now, after almost four years on Maddox Street, Hibiscus still plucks the heartstrings of the most jaded gourmands, winning consistent praise and the ranking of ninth best British restaurant in the 2012 Good Food Guide as well as inclusion in the San Pellegrino's 50 Best Restaurants for two years running. While the critics are voluble about the virtues of Hibiscus, the restaurant's atmosphere and the flavour of the food speak more voluminously, and no amount of words or accolades could ever reproduce the experience of dining in Hibiscus itself.

As you walk into the restaurant, you'll notice pale, oak-panelled walls, elegant carpets and table settings, gentle lighting and splendid glassware. The subtle, subdued restaurant is the perfect foil to the adventurous cuisine. You'll feel well attended by the smooth service; the waiting staff are well-versed in the nuanced menu and more than happy to make recommendations or explain the idiosyncrasies of a dish.

Hibiscus has a variety of menu options ranging from a relatively inexpensive three-course lunch menu at £49.50 including half a bottle of wine and petit fours to an eight-course tasting menu at £135. No matter which menu you choose, you will be exposed to a delicacy of presentation and clever flavour combinations that challenge, confound and, most often, delight.  This is apparent in the fusion of dishes like slow cooked hen's egg with pea purée, toasted coconut and an emulsion of Morteau sausage or the tartare of wild salmon served with apple and Isle of Skye sorrel. While the menu is constantly changing to suit the season and the chef's inspiration, a few iconic items have remained permanent fixtures, such as the tarte au chocolat with Indonesian basil ice cream which has been on the menu since Hibiscus' inception in Shropshire eleven years ago. Regardless of your choice, your palate is sure to be dazzled by the symphonic arrangements of taste conceived and executed by Claude Bosi.

We are very pleased to announce that Hibiscus has joined our favoured coterie of restaurants and that any Innerplace member and guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne when dining at Hibiscus.
