Tonteria has long been a standby for revellers looking for the craziest party in Chelsea. The jewelbox small venue is nestled in the underbelly of Sloane Square, and those who descend its steps will be swept away into an alternative reality of debauchery where the spirit of Dia de los Muertos presides. Think lots of luchero wrestlers, sparklers models, piñatas and anything-goes late night sessions. 

The design channels Mexico City dive bars with a plethora of calaca skulls perched throughout the room, Spanish terracotta tiling, eerie green lighting, leafy foliage, slick leather and worn stonework on the walls. Tequila connoisseurs will be well catered for, with almost fifty selections available by the bottle. And those who order a round of shots for their table will have them delivered by a toy choo-choo train that wends its way around the club's ceiling. 

For anyone who needs to line their stomachs, the kitchens do a fine job with Mexican tapas. Choose from south-of-the-border standards like tortilla chips and guacamole to more involved dishes like crispy squid with salsa verde. As the night progresses into the early morning, get ready for a party with no holds barred, soundtracked by house, hip-hop and commercial music.

I’ve been with Innerplace pretty much since they started which is over 21 years now. Whilst I have access to other concierges through work and credit cards, Innerplace will always be my go to due to their incredible service, friendliness, expertise, knowledge and most of all their ability to get me a last minute booking at the most in demand restaurants in town, even when fully booked!

In the last few years they’ve really upped their game in terms of members parties and access to events which as well as being fun are also great networking opportunities. Tim has put together an incredible team and its always a pleasure to speak with them over email, phone and also when I meet them in person.

Most recently I asked them to find me a venue for our work summer drinks as I wasn’t able to find anything within budget or with the required flexibility on numbers, food and drink.
