Located in the heart of Chelsea on King's Road, Albert's at Beaufort House is the only private members' club of its kind within the Royal Borough, offering English charm across all three storeys of its regal townhouse setting. Members and guests are consistently lavished as Albert's offers a plethora of spaces to suit the modern urbanite, including an all-day restaurant, three separate bars, a fully-fledged nightclub and a private dining room perfectly suited for corporate dinners or special celebratory meals.

The interiors are pure opulence. Walls are painted a cerulean blue with striking brass tones and adorned with a profusion of contemporary art. Conical art deco wall sconces and crystal chandeliers add a gilded element to the well-heeled ambience. Chairs and sofas are generally leather, autumnally-hued and overstuffed. A blue marble bar offers a masterclass in elegance (and masterclasses in cocktail making to boot). It's all very Chelsea and it's all very charming. The dining room of the all-day restaurant is a white table-clothed affair. There was an aura of sumptuousness as we nestled frostbite-cold martinis next to banker's lamps and awaited our dishes.

The menu at Albert's blends British, French and Italian influences to create plenty of toothsome, health-conscious dishes. After a beautiful bottle of Via Nova pinot grigio arrived, we kicked things off with a Jerusalem artichoke soup that flirted with the divine. Pan-fried scallops with edamame and chorizo were perfectly fresh and fire-scorched. Our favourite dish of the evening was linguine. Originally meant to be studded with crab, it was laden with a generous portion of lobster, then shot through with cherry tomatoes, parsley and chilli.

In addition to this, Albert's at Beaufort House offers a whole raft of members' benefits; special members' events; cocktail masterclasses; private hire for parties and celebrations, meetings and conferences, wedding and baby showers. Suffice to say, you'll be in good hands with an Albert's membership.
