New York City has been experiencing a bit of a nightclub renaissance of late. King's Road opening Upper West borrowed some of The Big Apple's key ingredients to create a contender for Chelsea's late night crown. Taking cues from Manhattan clubs like PH-D and Marquee, Upper West will boast a roof terrace complete with olive trees and cascading fountains, the ideal setting for catching some of summer's late evening light and enjoying a classic cocktail with a cigar. 

Alongside a multi-linear stone bar and chiro-skatic lighting, Upper West also has a partnership with London's West Bank art gallery and curates a rotating collection of installations from some of Britain's most promising young artists. Amongst other things, the Lounge also claims bragging rights to Elton John's retired piano, a schedule of live music acts and a selection of NYC inspired small eats. The nightclub, Madison's, is accessed by a grand staircase and will feature house and techno DJs, floor to ceiling bronze mirror panelling, and an avant-garde lighting system which can bathe the room in hues ranging from deep violet to Champagne gold.
