Kadie’s - Mayfair, London

Of late there have not been an abundance of late night redoubts launching in London, which makes the arrival of Kadie's all the sweeter.  Situated just next to Cuckoo Club on Swallow Street, guests enter through a discreet door nestled next to Bentley's Oyster Bar to a lair replete with everything glittering and gold. Adding a different twist to the clubbing experience, this cocktail bar offers a product a cut classier for those looking to kick back after dinner and on into the early morning.

Upon entering, guests are greeted with a subterranean lair as sumptuous as it is slick. Dark wood flooring has been painted in a tessellated black-and-white pattern, with slick floor-to-ceiling mirrors that both open a room and provide a good medium for people-watching, exposed brickwork, burnished copper wall surfaces, wallpaper painted with bucolic wildlife and art deco patterned ceiling mouldings fitted with filament bulbs. Furniture is immensely comfortable, particularly the plush buttonback leather sofas spread throughout.

The cocktail menu nods toward Italy with classic cocktails given a subtle twist. The Bellini, for instance, spikes Veuve with Cocchi Rosa and a pink grapefruit sherbet; while the All Night Negroni mixes Tanqueray with Bocci Americano, Martini Bitter and lychee. There's also a whole host of champagnes and fine wines to keep the oenophiles upbeat. The music selection at Kadie's is top notch, with a variety of world-class DJs and performance artists taking over the dancefloor. The venue has additionally played host to a menagerie of familiar faces, including Idris Elba's Christmas party with Stormzy.
