London's newest casino is truly on a royal scale. Following a 30 month, £40 million rebuild, Soho's famous Hippodrome Theatre has been transformed into the UK's first international-style casino open 24 hours with a smoking terrace, The Matcham Room (a 180 seat self contained theatre), three entire floors of gaming and the Heliot Restaurant, Lounge and Bar . The Heliot looks out onto the main floor and offers contemporary brasserie fare like lobster fish fingers with chips and a wasabi mayonnaise or Beef Wellington with wild mushrooms, foie gras and a red wine sauce. 69 Colebrooke Row's peerless molecular mixologist Tony Conigliaro will be concocting the cocktail list, the refined gentlemen's club feel of the lounge should be the ideal place to partake in it.
