VIP Invite to Private View Noma Bar at Rook and Raven Gallery

December 5, 2013 By Nick Savage Event,

The Rook & Raven Gallery will play host to award-winning contemporary artist Noma Bar on Saturday 7th December, and Innerplace members are invited to join him for a talk from 2-3.30pm to showcase his accomplished artwork, specifically those created by his ‘Cut it Out’ machine. Mr Bar, an Israeli artist, explores the current political and social situations of countries in conflict with his ‘Cut the Conflict' exhibition, by utilising different materials donated by people from countries mired in political strife, then cutting the materials using his ‘canine’ machine and mounting them side-by-side, forcing them to live peaceably aside one another. Join him on the Saturday when he’ll be demonstrating his famous industrial die-cutting machine, constructed to resemble a dog eating a cat eating a mouse, which he uses to create negative space images. Availablity is limited. If you’d like to attend with up to two guests, please get in touch at [email protected].
