The Restaurant at Sanderson - Fitzrovia, London

Sanderson is one of those places that we just can't leave alone. Designed by Philippe Stark, it features his trademark attention to the lobby. He created a space to see and be seen that has withstood the test of time. At the far end of Sanderson's lobby, edging past the almost interminable Long Bar, you'll find the restaurant, which we were very happy to visit on a Thursday evening. 

We took our seats at tables lit with candles in crystal glasses, and admired the environs. The dining room is strictly minimalist, with low hanging lights and private booths for those after a more intimate experience. There was a tremendous mix of people: groups of ladies enjoying late afternoon tea, young couples and older couples. It remains one of the perfect places to kick back with a date. We were thrilled to see that The Restaurant at Sanderson continues to punch its weight.
