Since Nobu opened well over a decade ago it has been synonymous with celebrity culture and launched restaurants spanning every corner of the world. The original on Park Lane is an enduring favourite, with gorgeous views of Hyde Park, tried and true staff and some of the most innovative fusion cuisine to ever be plated. Located on the first floor of the Metropolitan Hotel, the large white dining room features lacquered Asian chairs and table settings that set the tone for the meal. The fare famously splices Japanese and Peruvian cuisine to devastating effect. Many of the dishes have become iconic the world over; for instance, the black cod with miso has set the standard for a haute-cuisine Asian main, and you'll be hard pressed to read a review that doesn't mention the yellowtail sashimi with jalapenos or the little Peruvian tacos stuffed with lobster or king crab. For a big name meal, Nobu ranks as one of London's best.
