Giorgio Locatelli won his first Michelin star while working at Zafferano and repeated the feat at his own eatery, Locanda Locatelli in Marble Arch. It's no surprise, Locatelli is serving some of the best Italian cuisine found outside of its mother country. The amber-hued dining room boasts a Modernist design, and more importantly, some stellar cooking. The pasta is simply perfect; a highlight being the linguine with lobster, tomato, garlic and chilli, which exhibits a rare delicacy. For mains, choose from carne or pesce executed to perfection like the slow cooked suckling pig with red wine and chocolate and seasonal vegetables. Their tiramisu, a dish that in recent years has been much maligned, has received unilateral acclaim from the critics. With an extensive wine list and a private dining room that can accommodate up to fifty guests, Locanda Locatelli will leave a lasting impression when you need to impress.
