La Bodega Negra, London

Mexican La Bodega Negra opened on Old Compton Street in Soho with a slew of celebrity visits and tabloid attention. This interesting proposition was brought to Londoners by New York nightlife legend Serge Becker (behind the original Box in Manhattan) and London's own super-restaurateur Will Ricker. There's a ground floor all day cafe and dinner and downstairs there's a darker, more risqué, late night restaurant titillates with a moody and seductive dining room, succulent Mexican fare and electrifying late night music. Repair to the Tequila Cellar to sample over 60 varieties of the agave-juice. With all sorts of hidden alcoves and it definitely has the aura of the forbidden.
