For a single-stop evening of delectable eating and entertainment, the St James Theatre definitely delivers the goods. As the first newly built central London theatre complex in over thirty years, it's an incredibly striking space, with a grand structural staircase sweeping up to the first floor restaurant area. 

Where this venue really shines is its stage, and there are two of them. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience classic and contemporary productions in the 312 seat theatre, where past performances have included Bad Jews and Urinetown the Musical. Guests looking for a more intimate atmosphere may prefer the 120 capacity studio theatre, which exudes a similar ambience to Ronnie Scott's and features some of the best names in live music, cabaret and comedy, with the possibility of drinking whilst you watch. 

Named Carrara for the six tons of white Carrara marble used in the construction of the staircase, the restaurant seamlessly merges traditional British cooking with Italian twists, utilising only the best ingredients, locally sourced and seasonal where possible. Drama enthusiasts will have the opportunity to choose from either pre- or post-theatre menus which are priced very reasonably. If you're more interested in an alcoholic refresher, the St James Bar & Brasserie on the ground floor is an elegant alternative.
