If you haven't visited Chewton Glen and Cliveden House we highly recommend that you make the journey as they're easily two of the best luxury hotels in lower England. But if you want a taste of their fabled hospitality closer to home, hasten down Pavilion Road and stop off at 11 Cadogan Gardens. The hotel's flagship eatery Hans' Bar & Grill is quickly earning a reputation as one of Chelsea's best restaurants with a comfortable high-spec setting and top-class food from chef Adam England.

The dining room was designed by Goddard Littlefair and drips mid-Century classiness. There's plenty of wood throughout with herringbone parquet flooring, fluted timber walls and tables clad in oak and marble. Hanging plants and bronze bankers lamps play off evergreen-coloured leather banquettes as well taupe and pistachio backed chairs. Ropes of natural light peak in through skylights and imbue the air with an eminently summery feeling. If you'd like a preprandial there's a handsome twenty-seater bar and if you feel like dining away from prying eyes there's a winning 14-seater private dining room.

Chef Adam England rattled the pans at Le Pont De La Tour and brings a studied sensitivity to Great British cuisine. He's great with seafood. Bloody Mary shots with rock oysters are a fun way to kick off the meal, whilst tuna tartar with yuzu, wasabi and coriander will jolt your palate awake. Dover sole on the grill with a beurre noisette is elegance incarnate. Ricotta and truffle gnocchi is as good and nourishing as anything you'd find in Italy. And the English cheeseboard is deliriously enchanting.
