Conceived in the 1920s as a French alternative to Saint-Moritz by the Rothschilds, Megève was the first purpose-built resort in the Alps. Originally it was a prime destination for the French Aristocracy. It remains one of the most famous and prestigious ski resorts in the world.
Perched at an altitude of 1100m, just a short walk from the centre of Megève, l'Alpaga offers a breath-taking view of Mont Blanc. The 27 rooms and suites along with the 5 luxurious private chalets feature a contemporary and refined style- warm and delicate fabrics, sumptuous faux fur blankets as well as wool and flannel pillows. Large patios and balconies offer fabulous views of the Megève area: traditional shingle rooftops, wooden eaves and wooden balconies.
With its black stone walls, its large swimming pool and its outdoor Swedish hot tub facing the Mont-Blanc, the SPA La Colline is a true haven of well-being and relaxation. Michelin-starred La Table de l'Alpaga, allows guests to work their way through a delicious 'bistronomic' menu, accompanied by a thoughtfully crafted French wine list. For informal all day dining, L'Onyx bistrot lounge serves the Haute Savoie classics with a modern twist. Both restaurants are managed by Christophe Schuffenecker, the chef well-known for his delicate and simple mountain cuisine.
During parents' beauty treatment or outdoor activity, children can play at the Kids Club Smallable. From 3 to 12 years old, children are supervised by Alpaga's kids' monitors. From furnishings to decoration and toys, every effort has been made to ensure even the youngest feel right at home.
