In need of some relaxed fun? Nobody does it better than the Creoles, and there's now a New Orleans influenced saloon on Hampstead Road. Put your feet up and sink into beaten-in sofas, rest your drinks on tables crafted from 40 gallon whisky barrels, and let the soft light seduce you as it spills out of lanterns and fittings fashioned from glass decanters and demi-johns. The succinct drinks menu features twelve contemporary cocktails informed by the mid 19th and early 20th century mixology while the food menu features countrified deep south flavours in the form of hush puppies (cheese, sweetcorn and ale fritters with chilli dip), jambalaya and sweet potato rosti. Sounds like it's worth a thorough shakedown.
