For guaranteed wow factor, Plateau is a fabulously located hotspot, boasting dramatic views across the rooftops of Canary Wharf. Plateau has two distinct dining areas: the Restaurant serves contemporary French food using the best seasonal ingredients; the Bar & Grill offers more informal dishes in a relaxed setting.

By day it's flooded with light, giving it a glamorous, downtown Manhattan feel while at night, the lights dim, making the tables softer and more romantic. The cuisine is contemporary French and comes courtesy of Head Chef Jeremy Threhout. At dinner, a selection of around 10-12 tapas-sized dishes priced from £2.50 will be available, such as mini pulled pork and beef burgers with chilli relish, baby octopus with spiced tomato and Colchester rock oysters with rye bread. These new dishes will run alongside a menu of popular Plateau classics such as beer battered fish and thick cut chips; coq au vin with pommes purée, button mushrooms and smoked bacon; and steaks and burgers from the grill The extensive wine list includes everything from classic French favourites to New World discoveries, with an excellent sommelier on hand to help you choose the best wines to complement your food. The atmosphere is a warm, stylish ambience, and a space for Canary Wharf's discerning drinkers as well as the ever-increasing number of destination diners.

Following a redesign in December 2011, the facelift will be the first major design change since it opened eight years ago, and will result in a new warm, stylish ambience, and a space for Canary Wharf's discerning drinkers as well as the ever-increasing number of destination diners. There will be new signature cocktails such as a barrel-aged twist Negroni, which is aged in oak for two months, and the evening menu will offer more small plates and sharing dishes, to reflect the increased demand of more casual dining.
