Dover Street‘s Mahiki is probably one of the most well-recognised names of any nightclub in London, and it‘s almost surprising that they didn‘t flex their muscles and open up another location earlier on. With the partnership of the co-founder‘s of Albert‘s Club in South Ken, the club will be bringing its famous brand of tiki debauchery to the former site of Bodo‘s Schloss on the southwestern corner of Hyde Park in the Royal Borough of Kensington.
Synonymous with famous and royal guests running the gamut from HRH Princes William and Harry to Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Jay Z, its Polynesian aesthetic will be carried across with an array of fresh fruit cocktails and Mahiki‘s signature champagne treasure chests. Bespoke hula dress uniforms have been overseen by none other than Vivien of Holloway, who is renowned for creating clothing worn by Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith. The launch sees Mahiki‘s founders and entrepreneurs Piers Adam and David Phelps join forces with Jake Parkinson-Smith, Carlo Carello and Fraser Caruthers.
