We’ve put together a list of our favourite fine dining operations who have pivoted to offer home delivery, whether it’s for a date night at home or a virtual dinner online.
Hakkasan – Even if you can cook an excellent Cantonese, there’s no way to replicate what they do at Hakkasan at home. Whether you’re dipping in for dim sum, pecking away at the Peking duck with Royal Beluga Caviar, or deep diving the charcoal grilled silver cod with champagne and honey, rest easy you’ll be in self-containment heaven. Innerplace members get free delivery on their first order on SUPPER.
Hide – Michelin-starred Hide is one of our favourite Mayfair fine dining operations and are delivering via SUPPER. Enjoy some of Ollie Dabbous’ excellent dishes at home, including suckling pig with mustard fruit puree, crushed turnip & black pudding; roast scallop with Jerusalem artichoke & black truffle and burrata with confit tamarillo, basil & olive oil. To elevate the meal one step further wines from Hedonism, the mecca of wine, will be available to order alongside. Innerplace members get free delivery on their first order on SUPPER.
Arros QD – Quique Dacosta boasts three Michelin stars in Spain, and they’ve launched a takeaway menu so that you can enjoy his cooking at home. His Fitzrovian restaurant has earned quite a following amongst customers and critics alike with its boundary-pushing Iberian cuisine. Whether it’s molecular gastronomy starters or some of the best risotto in the UK, Arros QD delivers… (through their direct line and on Deliveroo).
Kitty Fisher’s – Kitty Fisher’s is a jewelbox small modern European bistro that has been one of the hardest bookings to get in London for years and also launched the career of Brat’s Tomos Parry. Cora Peal is their equally alluring sister restaurant. They’re launching a delivery package that will include Kitty Fisher’s signature cocktail - the Bad Kitty; Welsh rarebit topped with pretty pick pickled onions; a fish and shellfish stew with a rich crab bisque and cheesy croutons; and roast veal with veal jus and seasonal vegetables. No meal from the saucy sisters would be complete without their crispy chips - dubbed the 'dish of the year, dish of the decade, dish of the century’ by the inimitable Giles Coren.
Quality Chop House – The Quality Chop House in Farringdon is the seminal meat-forward restaurant in Farringdon that laid the groundwork for the opening of Clipstone, Emilia and Michelin-starred Portland. They’re now running a daily collection and delivery service with many of their staple dishes (think pork pies, Dexter beef mince, and smoked cod’s roe) on the menu.
BRAT – Speaking of Tomos Parry, the Welsh Michelin-starred wunderkind will be opening The BRAT Farm, Grill and Wine Shop to support the restaurant’s staff and producers with a market-style counter laden with a selection of high quality ingredients as well as prepped dishes to eat at home including whole brown crabs, smoked pink fir potatoes, grilled asparagus salad and their signature burnt cheesecakes. If you’d rather order delivery, there’s an option for that as well.
Pidgin – The Michelin-awarded restaurant will be offering a Homing Pidgin service with a weekly changing three course meal available for collection from Wednesday to Sunday at £25 per person. For those unable to leave the house a limited delivery service can be provided to locals if arranged in advance. Dishes will include the likes of wild mushroom salad with confit jersey royal potatoes, champagne miso vinaigrette, whipped mascarpone, pickled shallot, pickled pistachios, carrot furikake and dill as well as fresh pappardelle pasta with retired dairy cow albondigas, smoked tomato sauce, boquerones, wild garlic brioche crumb and wild garlic purée. Yum!
12:51 – Launched by former Ledbury chef and winner of the Great British Menu James Cochran, 12:51 is a pitch perfect, innovative modern restaurant in Islington. As a testament to his hard work ethic and the challenges faced by the industry, James and co-owner Dan will be making deliveries themselves by bicycle. The AROUND THE CLUCK menu brings together James’s Jamaican jerk chicken, sides made up of fresh fruit and veg and a scotch bonnet jam.
Trullo – Trullo is the famously popular neighbourhood Italian restaurant in Islington that launched the celebrated pasta restaurant Padella. They’re introducing a carryout service with ready meals such as a top class lasagne.
Bao – Everbody’s favourite Taiwanese steamed bun empire has sadly closed their three restaurants to battle COVID-19. However, they’ll be launching an amazing new delivery service called Rice Error in the coming days. Check out their amazing website here.
Angelina – For any East Londoners amongst you, we were smitten with Angelina’s Italo-Japanese take on the tasting menu. You can read more about it here. They’re launching a delivery service for Dalstonites.
