Right in time for the World Cup and with the 2016 Summer Olympics on the radar, the Inception Group (Mr Fogg's, Disco, Barts, Maggie's) has launched a Brazilian-themed boite that promises to bring some heat to Battersea. The entire venue is packed full of Brazilian bric-a-brac, with a beach shack vibe and plenty of strong cocktails to make you feel as if you have one foot in the surf. A massive Christ-the-Redeemer replica recalls Rio and spans two separate floors. There's an abundance of surfboards, plantation shutters and palm trees, not to mention servers clad in either shorts and sandals or sarongs and bikinis. Music comes courtesy of resident DJ Ollie Twist, who will be playing a mash-up of Brazilian electronica, Latin house, pure pop and beach-themed tunes to put you in the mood. The drinks menu draws inspiration from the national drink, cachaca, with signature sharing cocktails including the Da Cabana and the Bum Bum, both of which are served in very interesting containers. For some sunshine south of the river, you can't do much better than Cocobananas.
