Hawksmoor Seven Dials is quite simply one of the best places to get a steak in the country. Like its Spitalfields predecessor, the Hawksmoor serves up the choicest cuts from the choicest cattle accompanied with a variety of saliva-soliciting sides, sauces and starters. If you have thrown calorie cares to the winds then share a porterhouse accompanied by grilled bone marrow or a stilton hollandaise. Starters skew toward the traditionally British with options such as potted mackerel or prawn cocktail to ease you into the beef. Another notable is their drinks menu which offers a classic 'A History of the Cocktail in Ten Drinks' section as well as 'Anti-fogmatics' and 'Bridging Drinks' for the less alcohol inclined. Hawksmoor SD in a beautiful former brewery and employs exposed bare-brick walls, vaulted ceilings and even old chemistry tables which creates a quirky but masculine environment. One of Britain's best steak options.
