Kensington's Roof Gardens offers urban high flyers one of the most unique experiences in London. Perched six storeys above the street the sleek nightclub and restaurant are surrounded by three gardens worthy of Kew which contain avian wildlife such as ducks and flamingos. When the weather is good it is simply the best place to go to kick back and enjoy life's sweeter offerings. A recent refurbishment has helped the club recapture the status that it deserves. Private rooms in the club and the garden have surprisingly reasonable minimum spends and provide an excellent option for larger groups or parties.

If you're looking for a unique restaurant that's a cut above the rest in terms of setting and quality, look no further than Babylon at the Roof Gardens. Perched above Kensington High Street like the Nebuchadnezzar's hanging gardens, head chef Ian Howard (formerly of The Savoy and in the employ of the likes of Marco Pierre White and Gary Rhodes) is dishing out superlative Modern British fare such as scallops with roasted and pickled cauliflower, golden raisin, truffled organic milk mousse and coriander oil.
