| Hi ,
We’re going cocktail crazy this week with 2 for 1 Mojitos at The London Cocktail Club and guest lists at supercool boutique club Bureau. We also have discounted tickets with Taittinger at The Old Vic, a special Valentines party and complimentary VIP tickets to Strictly Come Dancing Live at The O2!
The London Cocktail Club - Great Newport Street, WC2: Entry and 2 for 1 cocktails for members
If you’re a fan of shabby chic décor and amazing cocktails, then The London Cocktail Club should be right up your street. Styled like a 1920s New York Speakeasy with a touch of Victorian London quirkiness, the members’ bar became one of the hippest places to drink cocktails after its owners, mixologist JJ Goodman and business partner James Hopkins, won the 2009 series of Raymond Blanc’s TV show, The Restaurant.
Cool and cosy with cracked Chesterfields, Persian rugs, gilded mirrors and faded prints adorning the walls, the bar’s ‘rough around the edges’ feel only adds to its charm. However, as the name suggests, it’s the cocktails that really make it something special. The award winning JJ Goodman has built a reputation based on excellence and flair and has won numerous cocktail and bartending competitions. Some of our favourites include the Espresso Martini (made with 42 below vodka, coffee and Kahlua), Porn Star Martini (made with Finlandia vodka, passion fruit, vanilla sugar and Prosecco) and Rock Candy (made with Grey Goose citrus, rose liquor, lychee, ginger, cranberry and apple juice, served with a marshmallow.)
As the bar is tucked away underneath The Arts Theatre, you’ll see a sudden influx of theatre goers at interval time but only for 15 minutes and actually makes it quite good for celeb spotting amongst the arts crowd. You can also graze on an excellent selection of sharing plates whilst working your way through the cocktail list. So we’d recommend getting there just after 7pm or just after 8pm.
LCC is a members’ bar, however we can arrange entry for Innerplace members with no charge. We can book you a table with no minimum spend and as a special introduction to the venue if you want to go in the next two weeks (until 10th Feb) Innerplace members can take advantage of an exclusive 2 for 1 deal on Havana Club Mojitos. The London Cocktail Club was voted ‘Havana Club’s favourite makers of Mojito in 2010’ so they are pretty good! If you happen to be in the area and want to just pop in for a drink, show your Innerplace members card at the bar and you should be fine but it’s best to book ahead, especially if you want the 2 for 1 offer.
Bureau Club - Kingly Court, W1: Guest lists for members
Set in Soho’s Kingly Court, Bureau is a slick underground boutique club which opened in 2008. By keeping the capacity at 100 the owners have managed to retain a fashionable, exclusive reputation. Bureau labels itself as ‘the antithesis of impersonal West-end nightclubs’ aiming to offer a more intimate, personalised experience. The club’s interiors were designed by Satmoko Ball architects. Swarovski crystal chandeliers, bold graphic patterns and sensuous materials bring a sense of understated luxury, whilst the vaulted arches add a dash of Soho edginess.
The drinks menu is formidable with personalised and inventive cocktails being the order of the day. Live music is on the agenda every Wednesday, with Funky House Thursday and Friday and a commercial policy on Saturdays. The club is open until 1am on Wednesday and Thursday and until 3.30pm on weekends. Bureau is known for attracting a cool crowd and famous fans include Mark Ronson and Aygness Deyn.
In the past, only Innerplace Red Members have been able to experience the decadent charms of Bureau! However we are pleased to announce that we can now offer access to all Innerplace members - members free with guests to pay. If you would like to try it please let us know at info@innerplace.co.uk

Six Degrees of Separation - The Old Vic, SE1: discounted tickets for members
David Grindley’s adaptation of John Guare's Olivier Award-winning play Six Degrees of Separation opened last weekend at The Old Vic. Inspired by the real life story of a flamboyant con artist who convinced wealthy residents in Manhattan that he was the son of actor Sidney Poitier, Six Degrees of Separation is ‘a captivating study of society's pretensions exposed by one man's self-confidence and imagination.’
The play originally debuted on Broadway in 1990 and in 1993 it was adapted as a film starring Stockard Channing, Donald Sutherland and Will Smith. This new production is the first major London revival of the play in almost 18 years and stars Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spooks, Little Britain). The play is very entertaining and is already attracting glowing reviews.
Innerplace members can book top price tickets for the reduced rate of £35 (normally £47) and will also receive a complimentary glass of Taittinger champagne. Offer valid Monday – Wednesday evenings and Wednesday matinees until 28th February. We can also get great seats if you do want to go later in the week. Please contact us if you’d like to reserve tickets. Six Degrees of Separation is running until 3rd April.
