Ain't no party like a post-war party. That's almost certainly a phrase you've never heard. However, you may be singing another tune after descending the 'apples and pears' to Cahoots, the newest venture from Duncan Sterling and Charlie Gilkes, housed in the site that was formerly Disco. Like Mr Fogg's, Cahoots is an' immersive' themed bar.  It will transport adventurous Londoner backs to the heady days of 1946, when the Great War was a not-so-distant memory.

Tellingly, the site was formerly a bomb shelter. It's now been transformed into a London underground station, complete with a retro tube carriage complete with luggage racks, vintage theatre posters and advertisements and upholstered banquettes seating. Staff members are dressed in tweed livery and are quick to adopt the slang of the era. Those looking for a theatrical experience will find it here in spades.

As with the other Sterling & Gilkes venues, the cocktail menu is a work of art. Masterstrokes include 'Turning Over a New Leaf', 'White Cloves of Dover', 'Katharine Hepburn' and 'Judy Garland'. The latter was probably our favourite, a refreshing amalgam of Tanqueray 10, Aperol liqueur, grapefruit, camomile tea and lemon curd.  If Ms Garland was drinking these all the time it would be no wonder that she developed a drinking problem!
