Gaucho at the O2 is back, and this year it looks better than ever! On 21st March 2011, London’s O2 arena will play host to The Gaucho International Polo, which this year has evolved to include two international arena polo matches merged with live performances from the Grammy award winning band, Bajofondo.
Bajofondo are renowned for bringing ‘electrotango’ to international attention and will open and play throughout the tournament, ensuring that audiences are thrilled by the combination of energising musica and fierce polo play. Scotland will clash with Ireland in the first match, while England will take on Argentina, pitting Britain’s best player Jamie Morrison against the legendary Nacho Figueras.
There will also be tastings throughout the day highlighting some of Argentina’s finest wine producers, brought to the O2 by leading authority Wines of Argentina. Additionally, there will be a ‘white jeans party’. For every guest who ‘Polo’s up’ and dons a pair of white trousers, £1 will be donated to the British Forces Foundation.
