Shakespeare In The Sky

Galvin at Windows - 25/04/2012 - 21/06/2012

Shakespeare In The Sky

Galvin at Windows have teamed up with The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to celebrate the 2012 World Shakespeare Festival with a series of unique events and cook up a Tudor feast this spring and summer with a dramatic twist.

Galvin at Windows will hold four special Shakespeare in the Sky evenings combining sumptuous Shakespearean menus with live performances where guests will be seated amongst the dramatic action of some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.

The first will be a “Romeo and Juliet” dinner on 25th April, commencing with the masked Venetian ball scene. The romantic tragedy will be played out between courses by actors from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust’s Shakespeare Aloud! troupe, who perform daily at the birth place of the world’s most famous playwright in Stratford-upon–Avon.

There will be two smaller Shakespeare in the Sky dinners hosted by the world’s foremost experts - Stanley Wells and Paul Edmondson on Shakespeare’s works, life and times on 21st May and 21st June.  These will also feature readings by actors and Shakespearean festivities.  Another Shakespeare feast and play “Twelfth Night” is planned for 26th September.

Places are limited for each of these unique events with tickets at £150 per person for the “Romeo and Juliet” night and The “Twelfth Night” evening and £130 per person for the smaller nights

21st May and 21st June (with only 20 tickets on each night for those). Dinner will be served from 7.30pm in the balcony area of Galvin at Windows.
